Derby Anaerobic Digestion Facility

Murform have been contracted by engineering firm Jones Celtic BioEnergy (JCBE) to carry out the groundworks and reinforced concrete construction works at the biogas plant in Derby on behalf of Severn Trent Green Power.
The food recycling anaerobic digester plant will convert food waste into green bio methane and bio fertiliser for use on farmland.
Murform will be carrying out the reinforced concrete works for the new digester tanks at the site and also the buffer tanks, heat exchange slab, cooling tank slab, rainwater harvesting tank and the bio filter slab and walls.
Once complete in 2018 the new facility will be able to process 48,500 tonnes per year of waste, including food, sourced from in and around Derby.
