SP Energy Networks as part of their commitment to delivering a safe, reliable and economical service across Scotland have dedicated investment towards the modernisation and reinforcement of their substations. At their Strathleven site they are planning to replace a 132kV transformer to facilitate the larger capacity required in the area. Murform have been appointed to carry out the civil works. Our scope consists of the formwork, rebar and concrete works for 100 foundation bases and bunds of various sizes. These works were carried out under a “live” status of the transformer station so the safety of our operatives was critical.
