The constrcution of new extensions to three existing primary schools in the London Borough of Newham. The new extensions are constructed from cross laminated timber panels along with glulam beams and columns, enabling construction to be completed on each site in a matter of weeks. Due to the nature of the materials used and method of construction the schools can all remain in use while building takes place.
St Stephen’s Primary School is having a new two storey classroom block for seven classrooms, with support accommodation and a roof terrace.
Roman Road Primary School is having three new blocks which will house a hall and entrance, a two storey wing to house new reception classes and library.
North Beckton Primary School is having a new two storey block housing twelve new classrooms with a canopy linking the new building to the existing school.
