Murform have recently completed the 25m high blast wall of VH1, along with a 200m x 4.4m high retaining wall of the filter south hall. These large works were carried out in congested areas with numerous trades working alongside and approximately 300 operatives on site. The site has now reached a pinnacle point at which buildings, including the 80m x 15m GIS and 3 storey control building, are now being handed over to Siemens for their installation of heavy electrical items.
The site was recently awarded a 5 star rating by the British Safety Council for the high standard of control and management of health and safety by all contractors involved. Murform currently have a high percentage of the total workforce on site, who have all contributed to this prestigious award and we pride ourselves as being part of this industry leading standard.
