Murform are nearing completion of the construction of the new Anaerobic Digestion Facility in the Milton Keynes Waste Recovery Park for Volkerfitzpatrick. Our work consists of fermenter tanks, ASP bays, compost tunnels and storage area for the new treatment works. Each section of the build requires intricate planning with the different sub-contractors to incorporate the installation pipe work and several cast in items. When complete the waste recovery park will use a combination of mechanical treatment, anaerobic digestion and advanced thermal treatment to treat the “black sack” waste collected from homes in Milton Keynes. The overall process is predicted to cut the amount of rubbish going to landfill to just 3%.
