Construction of 14 reinforced concrete turbine bases near Campbelltown, Argyll & Bute at the Blary Hill wind farm for clients I&H Brown and RES. This 35mw capacity site generates enough low-carbon, low-cost electricity to power 33,000 homes.
Each reinforced concrete turbine base at the Blary Hill wind farm contains 37 tonnes of rebar and 320m³ of concrete. The bases are octagonal in shape and feature a tall central pedestal, typical of the RES design.
In addition to the construction of the turbine bases, Murform also completed additional reinforced concrete foundations for the control building and welfare facilities for the project.
Construction of the project began in 2020 and then entered commercial operation in 2022.
