Bradford House is a mixed-use reinforced concrete frame structure featuring six storeys and an added basement car park. Supplying much-needed accommodation for students from the University of Creative Arts, this modern facility also incorporates 221.5sqm of office space on the ground floor. Opened at the start of the 2021 academic year, Bradford House accommodates up to 99 students. Each flat area has up to eight ensuite bedrooms, complimented by shared kitchen and communal spaces.
The project required meticulous planning for works, material deliveries and storage due to restricted site access and lay down area. Access at this location was a challenge, a section of the first-floor slab over the ramp access was omitted in the early part of the project and completed during the final stages, this adjustment ensured ample head height for deliveries.
Murform played a vital role in bringing Bradford House to fruition, completing the comprehensive construction of both the basement and the reinforced concrete frame structure for clients Surrey Excavations.
