Student Accommodation, Stoke On Trent

Construction began in late 2017 at this new build student accommodation development in Stoke on Trent. SCI Contracts contracted Murform to complete the groundworks and reinforced concrete works for the exciting new development. The 0.97-acre site features 300 apartments plus other on-site recreational areas for the students.

Our scope of works for the project included full groundworks at the site and construction of the reinforced concrete ground and first floor slabs, podium slab at first-floor level, a retaining wall up to second-floor level, before finishing with a second-floor slab.

Fusion Building Systems supplied and installed prefabricated light gauge steel panelised superstructures for the students’ individual accommodation units. This method of construction allows for a shorter program of works as each unit arrives at to site fully waterproof and insulated and just needs installing.

Murform completed the project in August 2018
